Brian Wilson

Vice-President of Manufacturing

A US Army Veteran, Brian Wilson has been working in the coatings field ever since leaving the army over 30 years ago.
Prior to joining Polymer Nation, Brian managed production for a top-10 manufacturer, at their Waukegan, Illinois facility.

As Vice President of manufacturing, Brian oversees all aspects of production, including raw material sourcing, price negotiations, manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, customer service and shipping/receiving.

Brian values being an important part of Polymer Nation. He loves the customer service focus of Polymer Nation saying, “our customers are not numbers. They are the reason we exist. They put their trust in us and we make it Job #1 to make sure they are rewarded for that trust”!

When Brian is not working, he is most likely fishing or making up extravagant excuses to his wife, covering for his Blue Heeler, Murphy!

Mason O’Brien

Production Manager

Mason grew up working in and around the world of coatings. He has worked in the field with the tools and in numerous labs. Prior to joining Polymer Nation Mason was a QC lab technician for a large, Massachusetts based coatings manufacturer.

He is a detailed oriented and by the book individual, perfect for his role as Production Manager. If you visit Polymer Nation, you will most likely find Mason in the plant helping assemble orders, guiding order flow, or working in the lab on the latest developments with Mike. Mason enjoys (most of the time) working with his father to develop new products and continuing to improve warehouse efficiency. He is dedicated to making sure our materials are of the highest quality available, that orders are completed on time, and to delivering honest information to our customers.

Mason values the close-knit relationships with our customers and taking the time to do things right the first time around.

Michael Douglass

Technical Director

Mike has worked in the coatings industry since 2017 as a chemist, focusing primarily on formulation and product development in the resinous flooring sector. He graduated from Purdue University Northwest in 2018 with a degree in chemistry. While in school, a professor in one of his courses piqued his interest in the world of coatings. He soon realized there is much more than meets the eye in a can of paint!

Mike’s lifelong interest in science has always motivated him to understand how things work or how to make them work better. He applies that same motivation to the world of epoxies, polyaspartics, polymer modified concrete and all things coatings related.

When he’s not in the lab or working on a new product, he’s busy keeping up with his wife and three kids, or maybe golfing, reading, or watching a race! He’s thrilled to be a part of the team at Polymer Nation!
